This is going to go down these have my name all over them. Time to consume these calories. Yes people I do eat these foods from time to time but I do it based on on my goals and try to plan my “cheats meals” for certain times or days. People always say they are having a “cheat meal” but do you really know what that means…? It’s not every other day or you have been good for 2 days then you just indulge in whatever. When one is on a strict diet regime they occasionally will have a meal that allows for them to eat things that are not apart of the prescribed diet. These are designed to prevent your body from entering a starvation mode where it will hold onto stored body fat for when times get tough. So by increasing calories up to maintenance every week or two should prevent this and keep your weight loss on track. So if you have been really strict with your macros and have stuck to your plan for a period of time I would suggest try to go 12-14 days straight before trying to have “cheat meal”. Understand that you are still on your macros and there is usually an influx of calories for one meal of the day not turning it into one whole “cheat day”. Clearly the stricter you are the more results you will have. Sometimes your body needs an influx or a “cheat meal”. “Cheat meals” should definitely be planned ahead of time. Here is good way to figure out how often you should use these meals. The frequency should depend on your body fat percentage: If your body fat is above 15% limit refeeds to once every 2-3 weeks. If your body fat is between 10-15% refeed once every 1-2 weeks.
