CHEAT DAYS VS CHEAT MEALS Cheat days are enticing. You mean I can go ape shit and eat whatever I want for one whole day? And they are a good idea until you arent losing weight. With cheat days youre basically undoing all the work youve grinded through during the week. If youre struggling to lose weight for a while this is a good place to start looking. Weight or fat loss is a product of calorie restriction over weeks not a few days. Lets say during the week youre eating 1800 calories then you have a cheat day to the tune of 4000 calories. And we all know cheat day starts is the entire weekend. Lets say 2300 is maintenance. Monday: 1800 calories (-500) Tuesday: 1800 calories (-500) Wednesday: 1800 calories (-500) Thursday: 1800 calories (-500) Friday: 3500 calories (1200) Saturday: 3500 calories (1200) Sunday: 1800 calories (-500) So at the end of the week youre averaging 2285 calories. So basically youre restricting yourself through the week to maintain. Stick with cheat meals. One to two a week can drastically up diet compliance satisfy the cravings and still get you to your Aesthetic Physique. Im a big proponent of having small cheats throughout the week as long as they are portion controlled.
