I was talking to my trainer about bingeing and triggers while she tortured…I mean trained me the other day. She said everybody splurges at times. Its life. Things come up and its just not realistic to expect to stick to a rigid diet plan with no cheats. She said the difference is how you deal with the splurge. Rather than continuing to make bad choices the rest of the day do a reset. Within 2 hours of your splurge eat something healthy that would be part of your plan. It puts you right back on track and stops that defeatist thinking we all do when we eat something less healthy. You will have really bad days; days that you’re exhausted; days that you question why you even bother; days when quitting is a constant temptation. _ Everyone has these days. _ Some people succumb to them. They give in they cheat their diet they skip the gym they cut corners. _ Other people want to succeed so badly that they face them head on and resolve to fight through no matter how unmotivated they feel no matter how hard it is. _ In this way I feel the the bad days are THE determining factor in success. _ When it gets rough ask yourself what kind of person you want to be; someone who gives up? 35 lbs weight loss in less than 4 months. Im finally back to 32 waist and the weight that I was when I first moved to South Florida in August 2008. Its not been easy and my goal is 175 with 30 waist by my 54 birthday on October 29. . Losing weight has never been easy for me Ive been fat most of my life. My heaviest was 239 in 2014 and in April of this year I got diagnosed as pre-diabetic and that was enough to push me to never get that heavy again. . How did I do this? Intermittent fasting on a 20/4 schedule daily with one cheat meal a week. No sugar low carbs high fat moderate protein. Mostly avocado nuts seeds tons of leafy greens and small amounts of olive and coconut oil. I eat 2 small meals a day at 10am and 2pm and no food all other times even if I am hungry. . I check my blood sugar first thing in the morning every morning to make sure it stays below 80. I monitor blood pressure body fat and weight daily to make sure Im not losing muscle mass only fat. It was a bad week #3 . It was a very active week with #workingout #martialarts #training and with #acting . #consistency is such a huge factor in #success but sometimes the #actorslife will throw you off. Two days (Wednesday & Thursday) of 3am call times threw things out of whack one of which meant going from the first set to a 2nd gig (extra work pays some bills) and having a 13 hour day there. #diet derailed with #craftservices (did I mention my favorite flavor is free?) and not being able to stay within my #intermittentfasting eating window. At least my #fitness level and the intensity of my #workouts continue to improve but need to find a way to use low weights for #hypertrophy for my chest until I can figure out how to fix the damage to my left side that keeps me from pressing beyond 50 lbs. In all I gained a pound back but the pics seem to paint a different picture. Something must be working. We’ll see what next week brings for this #actor . Source by overni...
