I have been overweight for over 10 years.. Feeling sad unhappy all the time because of my situation at home my body.. It made me an emo-eater. What made it all whorse.. Until one day I had tried all the diets and never succeeded. I started my fitness journey all by myself.. Searching for days what I need to eat how I need to trainhow to lose weight – and not in a short time. I gave myself 15 year.. I lost 30 kg in that period. Last year I started to do bikini competitions to get my confidence back and in two weeks i’ll be On stage again in Luxemburg. Even that I look great there are days I still see the old Emma in the mirror thinking I still am not good enough.. And some days I’m super happy and I definitely see my progress ! 70% of your physique goals will come from a well balanced diet! Got some tips for you to stick to that diet! Simplicity is key! Making fancy meals is fun and all for a week or two.. Simple meals require less time cleaning and are just as effective! Their just not that insta worthy .. Plan out your meals! When youre going to have a busy day with no time to make lunch make sure youre prepared! This will prevent you from buying snacks or meals (that almost all the time contain to much fat and to few protein) outside the door. Prep your meals! Its so much more convienent to just take a prepped meal in stead of having to cook one when youre hungry in the mood for food or in a hurry.. Switch it up! The way I like to prep is to make a extra portion or two when cooking dinner! This way Ill only eat the same twice in a row and its kinda fresh! As stressful as these last few weeks have been….I haven’t been as focused as usual. In Maryland I didn’t have access to a gym (nor did I have the time or availability) and my diet consisted of two take out meals a day which has made tracking food virtually impossible so I just….didn’t. I drank copious amounts of diet soda. I technically won two dietbets except that I wasn’t able to weigh in because of how hectic it was with everything going on. I stress ate small bowls of ice cream on more than one of the late nights I sat up with my Grandmother and ocasionally gave in to her insistence we share a dessert (they have always been her favorite). I didn’t give up though I just showed myself some grace in one of the emotionally hardest periods of my life. I made special memories with my Grandmother the days before her passing. I didn’t make the perfect choices with my diet or my fitness- but I also never threw in the towel. I made time for yoga and mostly ordered healthy. I lost 2 pounds ...

Welcome back @fitchristen for a #featurefollowup ! Today is my ONE YEAR KETOVERSARY!! Can not believe that I have been on this journey for a year now and I have to say it was one of the best decisions of my life. Starting Keto went against everything I was taught about nutrition but after trying everything else and feeling hopeless I said its worth the risk. Keto has help me overcome so much this past year from sugar addiction binge eating constant food thoughts and cravings and most importantly depression. Keto took me from the obese BMI category to normal and from an obese body fat percentage to the athletic range. My blood panels at the doctor are perfect in every category. My blood pressure borders on the low end vs high my cholesterol is great. My blood sugar levels are amazing. My resting heart rate went from 100 to 60..I no longer take naps or crash mid day..I have an exorbitant amount of energy and strength and cant imagine ever going back to a life controlled by food! . .
