I have been overweight for over 10 years.. Feeling sad unhappy all the time because of my situation at home my body.. It made me an emo-eater. What made it all whorse.. Until one day I had tried all the diets and never succeeded. I started my fitness journey all by myself.. Searching for days what I need to eat how I need to trainhow to lose weight – and not in a short time. I gave myself 15 year.. I lost 30 kg in that period. Last year I started to do bikini competitions to get my confidence back and in two weeks i’ll be On stage again in Luxemburg. Even that I look great there are days I still see the old Emma in the mirror thinking I still am not good enough.. And some days I’m super happy and I definitely see my progress ! Progress report. Over the past five years my body and mind has been through allot. I am finally felling amazing and half way my self again. The first photo is today second is my progress in the past 6 months last one is before I had my son. I know I have allot do work to go but I feel the best I have in years. I might be over weight but I know that my body is getting stronger and stronger everyday. I do weight training 3 days a week cardio 5 days a week eat high protein low fat and two protein shakes the day. This is the first year I have worn a two piece bathing suit I might not look perfect but I sure as hell feel amazing because I am proud of my self. Youre not a dog dont reward yourself with food for a good week well done. Got goals yes they count on weekends too. Goals dont suddenly disappear Friday- Monday. You CAN enjoy the weekend and keep those goals in mind. Dont suffer from the ALL or NOTHING mentality where youre either ON or OFF with OFF being falling into the OFF pool and not swimming out of it until Monday. Ill encourage you to mindful when it comes to eating and drinking this weekend while you remember what your goals are you worked so hard for this week. A few weeks difference (small changes nothing drastic left pic a few weeks ago right pic today) NO restrictive meal plan & NO two a day cardio sessions just a small macro adjustment. Still eating out reason why i LOVE flexible dieting (fact last night I ate a burger & icecream the night before we went for steak & wine) BUT eating mainly whole micro nutrient enriched foods. Thanks to Mike at Nova 3 for helping me with my macro adjustments & keeping me FULL. I’ve never been on a small “cut” where I’ve had this many carbs still & not had to count down the 3 hours before my next meal Mike knows his stuff bonus not only am I feeling great but I’m getting stronger TOO! Slow progress is still progress… Sometimes it feels like two steps forward one step back! 25 days difference between both photos. I feel like progress is slowing. Got an explosive migraine last night while deadlifting. I had a grumbling headache all day which I ignored. Not sure if it was dehydration sugar withdrawal stress or a change in the air pressure but something struck me like lightning and I have had a headache for 24 hours. Put that on top of stress from the ex and starting back at work it was a stressful 24 hours and it led to a mini sugar-binge! Kicking my sugar habit is hard. It is my normal comfort and it makes me feel better…momentarily. Working out has become my new “sugar” but with the headache and no babysitter there is no way to get a workout in today so I cheated on the gym with sugar instead. Normally I’d beat myself up about the binge and continue sabotaging myself but today I didn’t. I chalked it up to everything that’s been on my plate (pardon the pun ) lately....

#progress If you met me that day or even today you might assume a lot of things. (And I feel like we assume a lot of things about guys like that they dont have body image or eating issues). You might assume Ive always been fit that I have a perfect diet that Ive always been a positive & happy guy. But just like you I payed my ticket at the door… -I yo yo dieted for YEARS. -I was obsessive -I lived out of Tupperware and spent an entire day or two each week meal prepping and ate so much chicken I couldve grown feathers and so much tilapia I couldve grown gills -I deprived I starved then binged felt guilty then worked out excessively to undo the damage And just like you life happens. And when life happened the lifestyle I was a slave to fell apart right along with the body it kept in control. I hit rock bottom and was too damn unmotivated to do anything!
