I know Ive hit you all across the head a million times with this info but go ahead and be prepared to hear this again. When I started my #WeightLossJourney I was in possibly one of the lowest points of my life. I was only eating junk food and never working out. The idea of being healthy both excited and terrified me (mostly the latter). I didnt want to give up my favorite foods and feel painfully sore from workouts. CHEAT DAYS VS CHEAT MEALS Cheat days are enticing. You mean I can go ape shit and eat whatever I want for one whole day? And they are a good idea until you arent losing weight. With cheat days youre basically undoing all the work youve grinded through during the week. If youre struggling to lose weight for a while this is a good place to start looking. Weight or fat loss is a product of calorie restriction over weeks not a few days. Lets say during the week youre eating 1800 calories then you have a cheat day to the tune of 4000 calories. And we all know cheat day starts is the entire weekend. Lets say 2300 is maintenance. Monday: 1800 calories (-500) Tuesday: 1800 calories (-500) Wednesday: 1800 calories (-500) Thursday: 1800 calories (-500) Friday: 3500 calories (1200) Saturday: 3500 calories (1200) Sunday: 1800 calories (-500) So at the end of the week youre averaging 2285 calories. But first I gotta tell yall about #intermittentfasting Simplified approach to eating..you eat when you’re hungry and don’t eat when you’re not. You drink a lot of water and eat veggies and protein daily. And one or twice a week you fast for 24 hours to give your stomach a chance to rest and fully digest what’s already there. Slow progress is still progress… Sometimes it feels like two steps forward one step back! 25 days difference between both photos. I feel like progress is slowing. Got an explosive migraine last night while deadlifting. I had a grumbling headache all day which I ignored. Not sure if it was dehydration sugar withdrawal stress or a change in the air pressure but something struck me like lightning and I have had a headache for 24 hours. Put that on top of stress from the ex and starting back at work it was a stressful 24 hours and it led to a mini sugar-binge! Kicking my sugar habit is hard. It is my normal comfort and it makes me feel better…momentarily. Working out has become my new “sugar” but with the headache and no babysitter there is no way to get a workout in today so I cheated on the gym with sugar instead. Normally I’d beat myself up about the binge and continue sabotaging myself but today I didn’t. I chalked it up to everything that’s been on my plate (pardon the pun ) lately....

| REAL TALK | 1/2 So i have not posted in over two weeks. My last post was when i completed my 1 week of keto. I may have recently started keto but my weight-loss journey is a long and tiring one. I have occasionally been on diets for as long as I remember. And hence in the last few days i have been drafting this post in my mentions mind. The reason why it took me so late to pen this down is because probably i didnt truly felt this before what i am going to say and i wanted to really mean it. After losing 6.6 lbs in my first week i gained around 4 lbs back the following two days. This gain sort of broke my spirit a little and though i didnt give up on the diet i was dreadful about my weight.
